Introduction to the Mac Crew

Welcome to our new website and blog!!

An introduction feels appropriate -- HELLO!! and welcome. Most of the time you'll be hearing from me, Liz, while I balance some of the business, real life, and now a blog.

We have now been in business (for the 2nd time) for about a year and a half. Bear with me, but in 2008, Chris and I both lived in Cincinnati where we met, and Chris was already running a renovation company. Fast forward to 2014 when we were having our first son, we decided to dissolve Mac Services and focus on family. So I took an early retirement from teaching (PE, Health, & Spec Ed) and we moved to Indianapolis so Chris could return to a corporate position building new homes. Although that was great for us at the time, we couldn't ignore the love of renovation and pull towards entrepreneurship. After about 7 years, we took another step of faith and started Mac Brothers Construction, in honor of our now 3 sons!

After a quick year and a half, we've been able to complete and improve nearly 19 projects and homes around the Indianapolis area. We pride ourselves on quality work and some pretty fun before and afters. I'll drop some pictures below for a summary of what our business has done in the past!

Small white home that is overgrown so not very visible. Little windows and no character. Porch has failing wood railings.
Before of Tulio House
Pink Cottage with cream trim and light brown door and shutters. Shutters have a round cut out for additional detail. Trees are trimmed so you can see the house with its curved arch above the door. Nicely landscaped and paver walkway with gravel driveway.
After of Tulio House
Overgrown one story house with small windows and failing concrete porch.
Before of Orange Street
Tall modern 2 story home with 2nd floor balcony wrapped in cedar and black metal railings. First floor is white vertical board and batten. Sides of house and trim is tricorn black. New sod and fresh landscape with sidewalk leading to new concrete porch accented with black wood arch on front facade.
After of Orange Street
White one story house with small windows and red trim. Porch has been enclosed for additional square footage but zero curb appeal.
Before of Hannibal Street
Dark blue craftsman style home with white trim and wood accent shutters. Also has wood gable design and wood porch post. Fresh sod and landscape accentuated by paver walkway.
After of Hannibal Street
